    Michael Fassbender… the Assassin?

Variety is reporting that Michael Fassbender – he of the generous biological endowment – will play protagonist Desmond Miles in the film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. (Click the title to head over to the original article.)

Fassbender has turned in a fair number of good roles, including a young Erik Lehnsherr (aka Magneto) in Xmen: First Class and the cyborg David in Prometheus, but is perhaps most (in)famous for his showcasing his apparently sizable dong (I haven’t seen the movie so can’t confirm…) in Shame.

So how does Fassbender sound as Miles/Altaïr/Ezio? That’s an interesting thought, and something to wonder about. I’m not completely against the idea, so I guess that’s a good sign, coming from a huge fan of the franchise. All I know is, if they screw up the film by going too… ‘Hollywood’ on the thing, then I (and 30 million fans) are going to be pretty pissed.

    No pressure then.
